A Complete Jewelry Retail Environment

Al Zain Jewellery required a complete store redesign for their flagship location in Manama, Bahrain — combining contemporary retail design with the brand’s established heritage and identity. Mascustom delivered a full-environment solution from initial concept through to installation.

Project Brief

Al Zain required a retail environment that communicated brand prestige while maximizing display capacity for their fine jewelry collection. Key requirements included:

Custom display showcases for rings, necklaces, bracelets and watches
Warm, flattering lighting that enhances gemstone brilliance
A dedicated VIP consultation area
Secure display with clear customer visibility
Brand-consistent finishes in champagne gold and warm white
Complete installation within a 6-week timeline

DESIGN CONCEPT

Design Direction

The design concept centered on a warm, contemporary luxury aesthetic — using champagne gold accents, warm white lacquer surfaces and tempered glass to create an environment that felt both prestigious and welcoming. The layout was designed to guide customers through the collection in a natural, unhurried sequence.

FLOOR PLAN

Space Planning & Layout

The 180m² floor plan was organized into distinct product zones — rings and earrings at the entrance, necklaces and bracelets along the perimeter walls, watches in a dedicated island zone, and a private VIP consultation room at the rear. Traffic flow was designed to maximize dwell time and product exposure.

3D VISUALIZATION

Pre-Production Renders

Photorealistic 3D renders were produced for client approval before any manufacturing began — allowing the Al Zain team to review and refine the design, material selections and lighting before production commenced.

Custom Display Showcase Design

All display showcases were custom-designed for the Al Zain project — with dimensions, configurations and finishes developed specifically for the store layout and product range.

LIGHTING DESIGN

Integrated Lighting System

The lighting design used a layered approach — warm ambient ceiling lighting for overall atmosphere, precision LED spotlights within each showcase for gemstone brilliance, and accent lighting on architectural elements. All showcase lighting was specified at 2700K warm white with dimmable control.

MANUFACTURING

Production

All fixtures were manufactured in Mascustom’s dedicated facility over a 5-week production period. CNC woodworking, metal fabrication, glass processing and finishing were all completed in-house — with full quality inspection before packaging and export.

INSTALLATION

Delivery & Installation

All fixtures were shipped to Bahrain in secure export packaging with full installation drawings and assembly instructions. Mascustom’s installation support team provided on-site guidance throughout the 4-day installation process.

Project Brief

Chronos required a retail environment that communicated precision, exclusivity and brand authority. Key requirements included individual watch presentation vitrines, controlled directional lighting, a dedicated consultation area and a design language that would complement the brands on display.

DESIGN CONCEPT

Design Direction

The design concept used a dark, architectural palette — smoked oak veneer, brushed gunmetal and low-iron glass — to create a focused, gallery-like environment where each timepiece was presented as an individual object of desire. Narrow-beam LED spotlights were positioned to highlight dial details and case finishing without glare on crystal surfaces.

DESIGN CONCEPT

Design Direction

The design concept drew on Parisian interior design traditions — warm materials, refined proportions and a restrained material palette that allowed the jewelry to take center stage. Warm oak veneer, brushed brass hardware and ivory fabric lining created an environment of understated luxury.

MANUFACTURING

Production

All bespoke vitrines and fixtures were manufactured in Mascustom’s facility over a 6-week production period, with hand-finished surfaces and full quality inspection before shipping to Paris.

INSTALLATION

Delivery & Installation

Fixtures were shipped to Paris in custom protective packaging. On-site installation was completed in 5 days, with Mascustom installation support throughout.
