Choose showcases around the products inside.

Measure the products and the accessories used to present them. A necklace bust needs a different viewing height from a ring tray or a watch stand. Consider how many pieces belong in one cabinet and how much space each group needs.

The aim is a display that feels composed while giving staff enough room to present and retrieve merchandise comfortably.

Consider the customer’s sightline and the staff member’s working position at the same time. Check the relationship between glass height, display depth, doors, drawers and any adjacent seating.

Confirm access and security requirements in the specification. Include the space needed to open panels, remove trays and carry out routine cleaning or maintenance.

Lighting and materials influence each other. Ask to review the proposed glass, lining and surrounding finishes together with the lighting approach. The appearance of a metal finish or a product can change under different light.

Coordinate cable routes, power access and maintenance points before the cabinet details are finalised. Electrical requirements should be checked for the destination and installation arrangement.

Before production, confirm the drawings, dimensions, finish references and hardware requirements. Agree which materials or assemblies need samples and what the review covers.

Photographs can help with progress reviews, but colour and texture decisions may benefit from physical samples. Include this step in the schedule so it supports the opening plan.
